Executive Pastor

Erik Daniel Pimentel was born in Puerto Rico to Pastors Angel and Edelmira Pimentel. Growing up in the church, he was amongst pioneers and warriors of the gospel. At age 4, he began his path in ministry as he was gifted with a passion for music as a drummer, and ever since he’s been blessed with the ability to play several instruments, sings, composes, and arranges music as well as writing dramatic skits and drama pieces.

He has served as a worship leader, youth pastor, and other lay ministries during his life as a Christ follower. An avid enthusiast of jazz and other styles of music, he’s also had the pleasure of playing with various musicians throughout his career. He likes to say that besides the drums, the ocean is the most beautiful musical instrument God has created. He is married to Mitzy Pimentel (who serves as the Women’s Ministry co-leader), has 2 daughters, Rebecca and Eryqa and 2 sons Corey Jr and Quincy.

In the last 6 years since arriving at New Hope Church, he has served as the Worship Minister. As of December 2021, he now serves as the Executive Pastor. His motto is “My life’s purpose is to serve and worship God passionately, love my wife honorably, play music dynamically, and beach daily!”
