Associate Minister

Armando Borrero was born and raised in New York, but relocated to Orlando, Florida in 1997. He is husband to his best friend and high school sweetheart, Heidi Borrero, who serves as our Children’s Ministry Leader and is a vital supporter of his ministry service, constantly motivating the family to dig deeper into the Word of God and into a life of service. He’s a father of two young men Armando III, serving in the U.S. Army, and David, a high school athlete, a son and a brother.

Armando was raised in the church, but fully committed his life to Christ Jesus at the age of 35, after he experienced a radical encounter with the Lord. His testimony is one of redemption and restoration, where Jesus met him where he was, similar to that of the Samaritan woman at the well. As his walk with Christ Jesus matured, he now serves as the Men’s Ministry Leader. Recently, he has answered the call to serve within the Pastoral Ministry and is currently in training to become an ordained pastor.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems Security with a minor in Homeland

Security from Columbia Southern University. In addition, he holds several professional certifications within his career field of public service. He has worked within the field of public service for 18 years and has been a member of New Hope Church since 2013.

Armando is passionate about working with men, reminding them of 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” He’s also an avid sports enthusiast, who enjoys high school and college football, along with weightlifting with his son.
